Any educational institutional gives an apex priority to academic excellency and it is a most widely accepted performance measuring rod too. The organization is set up from HQ/RO and Vidyalaya works hard collectively for the achievement of academic goal. For this an honest attempt is made by the head of the institution normally is called academic plan. The academic plan consists of the following heads.

Academic Council:

 

The academic council comprising the devoted and experienced teachers who thoroughly supervise the year long academic activity meticulously as a representative of the head of the institution in different capacities/ways like:

 

  1. To over see the subject committee works.
  2. To over see the regular running of class along with subject – syllabus covers as per split-up syllabus.
  3. To over see/check the periodical written work like Assignment, class work as per predetermined time scheduled.
  4. Organization of guest lecture to enhance the subject knowledge in a concerned subject’s, if any.
  5. Recommended the authority to make any academic changes in particular area if required.
  6. To over see the onward submission of lesson plans for correction to the Principal.
  7. Identify the slow learner, in different subject of various class and also chalk out a constructive programs for their upliftment.

In short the academic council helps the authority in different capacity for the smooth running of academic in the Vidyalaya.

Time Table Committee:

 

In the beginning of the session the time table committee comprising of an expert teachers of 3 to 4 members and where the Principal as its Chairman. This Committee prepares the time table on the basis of syllabus / board guidelines like, the availability of total classes, and teacher’s strength, allotted periods for each subject on weekly basis, the grade of subject on the basis of difficult level, Special time table, supervises study time table etc. Further, this committee also prepares the daily routine / special time table separately for winter as well as summer and teacher’s individual time table too. The consolidated timetable has to be displayed in a prominent place in the eye catch note for the public view permanently till the end of the session.

Annual Teaching Plan:

 

Annual Teaching Plan is a systematic graded of proposed teaching task to achieve the academic excellency on the basis of NVS guidelines. All the concerned subject teachers prepare their annual teaching plan on monthly coverage basis and academic council. While executing the academic plan they have to made provision for the demonstration, practical group discussion, educational excursion etc. Further this plan also make special for the students to expose themselves for their hidden quality through co-curricular activity and peer group learning. This plan is to be made available and display on prominence place with an eye catches note and also strictly adhere too.

Lesson Observation:

 

The head of the institution observes the teaching lesson of his staff as per given schedule to maintain the teaching standard and expedite the coverage syllabus according to split-up of syllabus. During the staff meeting, Principal will highlight the good points of effective teaching of a teacher and also ask other teachers to follow it. Further, if any deficiency found during teaching by him about, he will call the teachers individually and corrects his mistakes/deficiency politely and also gives suggestions for further improvements.

Completion of syllabus:

 

As per the Board pattern/annual teaching plan, the staff has to complete the syllabus in time bound duration. For this of the institution holds the periodical staff meeting and take the stock of the completion of syllabus and also make the provision of time for that class/classes if required so. Further he also checks/cross-checks via note books of students / verbal interaction / peaceful hearing of complaints of parents, of any and also inform to the organization head for their on word administration.

Class Room Management:

 

For the effective and comfortable teaching – learning process, existence of good classroom is essential. The class should be given ideal dimension with sufficient light, fan, good black board with platform, chalk duster, furniture and sound pollution free atmosphere. For the effective class room management good discipline has to be initiated among both students and teacher. Because of good diclassroom management, Leadership Quality, Co-operation, Respect to different religion & elders, protection of public property seeds can be sowed among the tender minds of the students, which is necessary for the nation building.

Periodical checking of students written work:

 

The head of the institution looks after the writing part of the teaching / students for the effective learning through academic council. The academic council thoroughly checks the written work & class work & assignment, or any other apparaisal work like model / map / project etc. In short written work should be uphold to establish report in between the teaching and learning among the students.

Project Work / Model preparation:

 

“Pupils can enjoy and learn more effectively in group activity”


In teaching process teacher come across in so many situations to create the project in various subjects like science, mathematics and social science, which provide the room for the innovative activity. Under this head the teacher act as guide and all the students prepare an innovative static or working model, which is unique, practicable and also need of the hour. Under this program in our Vidyalaya the students of class X prepared the unique model about – how to save the monument / business buildings from terrorist attack as like world trade center attack in Sep 2001 in U.S.A.

Subject Committee:

 

The subject committee constituted in Vidyalaya to update the teaching of the subject teacher through valuable guidance given by the Principal and head of the Dept. during meeting along with fair discussion among the members of the committee. Further the action is being initiated to complete the syllabus as suggested by Principal/Committee.

Five years CBSE question papers with model answers:

 

Last five years CBSE question papers with model answers should be made available in the library by the Vidyalaya authority. This in turn helps the students to prepare for the board examination on the basis of given model answer. Further this should be made easy available in the library for the ready reference for coming generation.

Supervise Study:

 

After the regular teaching hours the students should attend the supervised study regularly in the academic block for the completion of the day to day academic assignments and to made extensive reading about recent teaching units. Further they may take the help of the duty teachers at a time of difficulties. Further more the supervised study should be followed predetermined time schedule.

Remedial Teaching / Coaching:

 

On the basis of micro test performance, the list of remedial students is to be prepared (weak area). Under this plan the subject teacher teaches the weak students and removes the weak area of the student’s in particular topic. This helps students to understand better and do better in work area.

Adoption of weak students:

 

In a residential set up the students reside all the day in the Vidyalaya. Here the teacher acts as Guide Philosopher, Friend and Parents. If the students are weak in particular subject/area, the teacher should adopt those weak students and take utmost care about their academic performance and create the confidence among them to face confidently the forth-coming board examination with flying color.
